Brandy Thilesen
Artistic Director -  Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Turns & Jumps, Tumbling, Yoga    
Brandy  began choreographing at a young age of eleven. She became   particularly involved in the competition scene, learning
quickly her gift for teaching and choreographing. She later became a member of the Tremaine Teen Company, under the direction
of Marguerite Derricks. Brandy has studied with artists such as Rei Aoo, Red Savage, Terry Bixler, Jayson Wright, Joanne Bruchez,
and many others. She has performed at the Moro Landis Studios Gala, the Sunset House of Blues,  Arnold Scwarzenegger's
Firm on
Fitness
physical education program, and the Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital Fundraiser program, among others. She has
choreographed many works that have been performed at numerous competitions nation wide, as well as at Evoke's
Celebrate Dance
Festival 2005
, the Hysterica Benefit Concert, Moorpark College, Santa Clarita’s Festival of Dance, Star's of Tomorrow: Dancers
Responding to AIDS benefit, and has also choreographed for Hart High School's 2005-2006 Dance Team.  Brandy was award
Teacher of the Year in 2008, 2010, & 2011 and Choreographer of the Year also in 2008 & 2009 at Kids Artistic Review National
Finals
in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Her choreography has also been featured at The Carnival: Choreographer's Ball at the Key Club in
Hollywood.  Currently Brandy is coaching and choreographing for our local high school, Canyon High School Dance Team, which
under Brandy's direction won two national titles in 2011. She is also directing and choreographing for her very own pre-professional
contemporary dance company
Emerge and has recently completed choreography for the film "Yellow", directed by Nick
Cassavettes,
which is hoping to be released early 2012.
Christopher Michael Jones - Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap
Christopher was born Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and at age four began dance classes.  At age 10 he was offered roles in the Arts,
Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and numerous other schools. Eventually his knack for acting placed him in the CBS television , and
many Christopher was born Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and at age four began dance classes.  At age 10 he was offered roles in the
others. Following high school he moved with his family to Los Angeles, California to pursue a professional career in acting, dance,
and singing. Since moving, Christopher has been seen dancing on television with artists like P. Diddy and Busta Rhymes, Dream, and
and singing. Since moving, Christopher has been seen dancing on television with artists like P. Diddy and Busta Rhymes, Dream, and
alongside Britney Spears . He has toured the country dancing with 98Degrees, Dream, NSYNC and other artists and has a number of
television appearances that include
"CSI-Miami", "Malcolm In The Middle", "American Dreams", "Six Feet Under", "Will And Grace",
"Judging Amy", "Mad TV", "The Drew Carey Show", "Nightmare Room"
, and "Days Of Our Lives".  In 2004 Christopher's talents came
together in his staring role for Sony Pictures box office hit
"You Got Served".  His most current role is bad guy, Anthony Bishop in the
20th Century Fox film
"Big Momma's House 2".

Venus Hall - Ballet, Jazz, Floor Barre, Modern
Venus Hall began training at Joseph Holmes Chicago Dance Theatre. She was an all-city winner of dance in the NAACP ACT-SO
Competition. She received a B.F.A. from Barat College and graduated as a member of The National Honor Key Society. She joined
Alvin Ailey in 1995, performing nationally and internationally. She worked with  choreographers such as Judith Jamison, George
Faison, Dwight Rhoden, Alonzo King, Ron Brown, and many others. Miss Hall is very excited to be at New World Dance.
Jessica Shull - Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop
Jessica Shull began dancing at the age of four and is still in the learning process as a young dancer. She started teaching at age
twelve and became a choreographer at the age of fifteen for several different companies in her home town Carson City, NV.
Graduating from Forever Dance Lake Tahoe in 2010 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dance career. Jessica has been
featured/ dance ensemble in theater shows i.e. Camelot, Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, lead role Cha Cha Digregorio in
Grease, etc. She has been in the music video " Blacklight"- One Call, and a contestant on the reality TV show "Born to Dance" with
Laurieann Gibson. She has also recently has been a dancer/ assistant choreographer to Brandy Thilisen and Terry Bixler in the
movie "Yellow" directed my Nick Cassavetes. On the side Jessica is training vocally with Rene Urbanavich. As well as a part of
Brandy Thilesen's company "EMERGE".
